Biography
Litual were formed in Catania in the October of 1999, starting an intense Movement of “Rock & Blues” sound research in order to mark their own style as well as remaking pieces by groups such as: Dire Straits, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and so forth. They play in various clubs in Catania and at different local events such as: “Arte e Musica” (Art and Music) of Misterbianco (CT), “Lavica Rock” (Molten Rock-Rock) of Viagrande (CT), “5 ‘ Gran Festival dei Giovani “(Fifth Youth Grand Festival) of Mineo (CT), “Centorbi Nota” of Centuripe (EN), “Premio Mia Martini” of Bagnale Calabro (RC) , “Night & Day” of Catania, “1’ Festival di Canzoni Inedite “ (First Unpublished Songs Festival) of Caltagirone, obtaining inmediate positive feedback from the audience. In 2002 “Joe Pedros”, an enormously talented harmonica player , joined the band and the word “BLUES” was added to the original band name. This was a key point in the research of elements able to reproduce pieces by Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Sonny Boy Williamson, Eric Clapton, etc…forming a united and at the same time talented Band. From the best pubs in Catania, at various events (for example they were guests at the “A Goal for Leukaemia” fund raising event at Massannunziata (CT) organized by Laura La Rosa, “Jonica Rock Fly Festival” in Giarre – The first music Festival of "Blues on the street" in Tropea (VV)– at the "Trade Union Rally" in Catania) , in the town squares of the major Sicilian towns and cities, with their music LITUAL BLUES involve hundreds of young people in rediscovering the values of “BLUES”.
